02 – PROCESS AIR
The line of process air heat exchangers type AXA is used in industrial applications where you never compromise.
Industrial drying processes require high performances, high temperatures and compact units, achieved electrically or by means of a heat carrier of high temperatures and often high pressure too.
The AXA models are dedicated these tasks, and their design offers supreme reliability and low operation costs.
Possible heat sources for these are electrical heating elements, saturated steam, heat transfer fluid (HTF), hot water and combinations of these.
There are many options available using the AXA process air heat exchangers.

Heating of process air is very often done electrically (resistances), by a heating media such as saturated steam, heat transfer fuid (HTF) or by hot water:
Steam air batteries heat process air (or gaseous fluids) by saturated steam.
Optionally they can be combined with other heat sources.
Electrical air batteries heat electrically i.e. using heating elements using electrical resistants.
Thermal fluid air batteries heat by hot circulating thermal fluid (hot oil) up to 300°C at atmospheric pressure where the heating is provided by a so-called thermal fluid system.
Water-based air batteries are available both as heaters using hot water, and as coolers using cold water, glycol or a refrigerant.
The coolers are also available in a special dehumidifier design for drying of process air.
Options are extractable sections for easy pull-out, or with flanged duct connections, gas-tight housing, reinforcements, adjustable legs and also instrumentation / armatures.
