Thermal Oil Heater
L-VTO & L-ELVTO is the line of industrial boilers that heats up circulating thermal oil to very high temperatures – either by burners for oil/gas or by electrical heating as energy source.
Using these boilers are relevant for high temperature applications as an alternative to for instance steam and water. The high temperature using steam and water requires a corresponding high operating pressure which can be a challenge for many reasons. But in the L-ELVTO and L-VTO line of thermal oil heaters, a special heat transfer fluid (HTF) is used as heat carrier instead – and that means that you can achieve operating temperatures up to 310°C even at atmospheric pressure.
The HTF is either circulated through pressure vessels with electrical heating elements (electric type) – or through one long tube that is winded-up in two coils forming the heater core and equipped with a gas or oil-burner.
All thermal oil boilers are widely customized to each specific task.

These thermal oil heater models are made in two designs.
Option 1 is an electrical heated version. Option 2 is a version heated by burner (oil, gas or combinations).
Both options are available in numerous sizes, temperature stages and flow.
The option 1 line of electric thermal oil heaters – are build-up in a rack comprising several electric heaters serially connected, where heating elements are place in each of the heater pressure vessel.
The option 2 line of gas/oil-heated thermal oil heaters i.e. with burners and flue gas outlet – are build up in a tube coil design i.e. one single tube winded-up into two tube coils placed inside each other forming a combustion chamber with convection passes.
This give a full 3-pass design ensuring high efficiency and lowest emission according to the regulations in EU.
The design comprises low-NOx burners and a required large combustion chamber volume. Available as both vertical and horizontal heaters.
All thermal oil heaters are individually designed for 24/7 heavy-duty operations.
