Originally educated naval architect and marine mechanical engineer, graduated from Elsingore Technical Highschool in 1980, and with a diploma from Copenhagen Business School in 1985.
Since inventing a hybrid "solar
heat pump" during the final educational project in
1980, - worked with special thermal
process solutions for the industry.
Briefly about the first period after the education years:
1981 - served in the navy
on the Danish royal yacht "Dannebrog"
after which the technical career started with the first job as a young
mechanical engineer at Atlas-Danmark Ltd. (Lauritzen group).
Company Businesses & Activities : 1988 - the engineering company AB&CO is founded, specializing in the design, manufacturing and supply of 'individual thermal solutions' within process heating - all over the world. Starting a as a one-man company and slowly grows during the years. 2000 - the boiler manufacturer Termo Trading Ltd. was acquired by AB&CO. In connection with the take-over of the company, the name changes to TT BOILERS. The product range was continued with a few cuts and adjustments. 2003 - the two companies formally merged, and the products are today marketed solely under the name AB&CO.

2004 - the consulting company AB&CO · CONSULT was established, specializing in tasks within process heating and industrial heat recovery - addressing both domestic and foreign customers. The consultancy tasks have typically been dealing with special design and calculations within process heat and heat transfer. A large parts of these task have been within thermal oil heating (HTF) and steam for process heating. 2014 - a part of the shares (49%) in AB&CO (TT BOILERS and TEKNIK) are sold and transferred to the current partners. AB&CO is today located in the suburb of Copenhagen, being leading in design and supply of solution within small and medium-sized industrial boilers, heaters and also special heat exchangers for process air.
Business & Economy : AB&CO has always had a solid economy, even during the major global financial crises - and the AB&CO has received awards and recognition for this. The good economy is generated by numerous successful LARGE & SMALL PROJECTS that have ensured end users worldwide, modern, efficient and sustainable 'individual thermal solutions'. The approach to all projects during the years has been 'Boldness with Care' - AB&CO's slogan since 2000.

The Daily Work : Over the years, Arvid Blom has been the person behind the ideas and the development of the overall design of customized products and solutions that have made AB&CO known within process heating and heat recovery. But a very skilled staff of colleagues over the years have made the many ideas a reality, from product maturation to manufacturing - and also tasks in connection with service and advice.
Special Entrusted Tasks : In addition to above, several special entrusted special tasks has been accessed - within process and thermal plants, e.g. as a surveyor and appraiser (technical expert) on behalf of both the Danish Arbitration Institute and the Arbitration Board for Building & Construction. The tasks have been performed on many different locations - from Gibraltar in the south of Europe to the northern Greenland in the Arctic. Arvid Blom has also acted as expert judge in technically complicated arbitration proceeding. |
